Author-editor Michael Madigan marks 5-year anniversary of Rocky Mountain News

Layout 12014 will mark the 5-year anniversary of the closing of “the Rocky,” and author Michael Madigan is available to meet with book clubs and groups about the events and characters from his book Heroes, Villains, Dames & Disasters that shaped Colorado history. For four years in the waning history of the Rocky Mountain News, Michael Madigan wrote virtually every word on Page 1 of Colorado’s oldest newspaper. Today he is sharing the history behind the headlines of his award-winning book. More than 60 groups have already hosted him.

Heroes, Villains, Dames & Disasters won the Colorado Authors’ League award for Best Non-Fiction. A versatile writer, Madigan can also talk about his first novel, Double Dare, set in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains.
