Sue Viders’ Success Story: The Rebirth of a Book

Posted on January 8, 2014 | in Member News | by

heroes and heroines copyHave you ever wished you could gain back the rights to a book you authored some time ago? Sue Viders did, and she worked hard to not only gain back those rights, but to relaunch the new and improved book. In her words, “As self-publishing opportunities multiplied over the last few years, my co-writers and I began asking for the rights back to this book. We wanted to update the cover… explore new audiences that have never been exposed to this book… and most of all, we wanted to control its future. This took a bit of work, but we finally got a formal letter releasing the legal rights back to us about six months ago. Interestingly, and worthy of note for those of you who are getting rights back for some of your books, we were immediately approached by several “Publishing Houses” offering to get this “messy project” off our hands. For a price. A very steep price.”

Read all about her journey on her blog and check out the new book which went went live last week at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
