NO SUMMIT OUT OF SIGHTOn May 6, 2014, Simon and Schuster released No Summit Out of Sight, Linda LeBlanc’s young adult nonfiction book about Jordan Romero, the youngest to climb Everest at age 13 and youngest to do the Seven Summits (the highest peak on each continent) by age 15. It is a Junior Library Guild selection and was favorably reviewed in Kirkus. Her companion book, Four Teens Challenge Everest, was launched the same day on amazon and is a young adult fiction book about teens climbing from the south the same time Jordan is climbing from the north. His determination and success inspire them onward. Each teen comes with a tough issue and makes a life-altering decision by the end. Their story illustrates a quote by Edmund Hillary, the first to summit Everest. “It’s not the mountain we conquer but ourselves.”
