Margi Evans, author of the children’s Mist Trilogy and two books about equestrian riding in Colorado, joined CAL in 2011 and has served on the board almost every minute since. She was editor of the InPrint newsletter for two years, and this year is already at work planning the annual Awards Banquet as chairman. She also planted the CAL flag at a new event this past month when she herded several finalists from the writing contest to appear and read their work at the Colorado Librarians Association Conference in Loveland.
Margi has owned horses since she was 12 and currently stables three at her home and arena in Foxfield. In between writing and riding, she competes with and trains equestrians. All this from a proper lady with the voice of Glinda who prefers to work with horses rather than their owners. “Because I know how to think like a horse,” she says. “I don’t always know how to think like people.”
