Dennis R. Floyd is a native of Denver and a three-time graduate of Colorado School of Mines (Met. E., M.S., PhD.). He conducted and managed metallurgical research at Rocky Flats, co-founded a business in TN to recycle radioactively contaminated scrap metal, returned to participate in the cleanup of Rocky Flats, and retired after assisting SAIC with a contract at Los Alamos. Dennis has since authored three books. The first two comprise and historical novel based on the Manhattan Project and the third is straight fiction. He is a member of a Denver Athletic Club Writers Group and is presently working on a fourth novel.
