Denny Dressman’s new book, titled HEARD but not SEEN: Richard Nixon, Frank Robinson and The All-Star Game’s most debated play, recreates events surrounding the controversial moment in the bottom of the 12th inning of the 1970 All-Star Game when Pete Rose bowled over Ray Fosse to score the winning run for the National League. The book marks the 45th anniversary of that All-Star Game, upon its return to Cincinnati July 14. HEARD but not SEEN is receiving many positive reviews, and is featured at the Reds’ Hall of Fame in Cincinnati. Denny has two appearances coming up in Denver the week before the All-Star Game this year: Wednesday, July 8, at 6 p.m. at the Denver Press Club; and Saturday, July 11, at 1 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble store in Glendale. He and the book also will be highlighted in an upcoming edition of Rockies Weekly with Marc Stout on ROOT Sports TV.
