Welcome New CAL Member Darla Bartos

Darla-BartosDarla Bartos, a former journalist turned fiction writer, developed a murder mystery trilogy set in South Africa. Moving to Denver, Darla taught at the Metropolitan State University and began writing the first draft of what would become her fiction trilogy, Midnight In Malamulele, drawing on her memories, diaries and articles she’d written while living in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her love of Africa has taken her on many adventures allowing her to travel back and forth to visit small villages and towns, many of them depicted in Midnight In Malamulele. A former freelance writer and news reporter, Darla has been published in newspapers, magazines and various publications on three continents, North America, Africa and Australia.
