And who will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Colorado Authors’ League in 2016? Now is the time to begin the process of selecting that honoree. CAL members can nominate candidates through February 15th, and a panel of past CAL presidents will decide the honoree by early March. The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be honored at CAL’s annual awards banquet on May 6th.
The CAL Lifetime Achievement Award was established three years ago “to recognize the outstanding work, significant contributions, and distinguished achievements of a member of the Colorado Authors’ League during a long and successful career in the publishing arts.” CAL has numerous members whose “longevity in professional writing, body of work, contributions to the profession of writing, distinctions and honors” make them worthy nominees. They just need a peer to articulate those distinguished qualifications for the past presidents to consider them. To nominate a CAL icon, click here for the Lifetime Achievement Award nominating form.
