Mimi Pockross, shown with her parents in 1963, will be discussing her book The Takeover: An Unexpected Caregiver’s Story (xlibris, 2014) on June 5th at the L’Chaim Jewish Conference on Aging. The “Family Matters of Caregiving” will be the subject of a talk CAL author Mimi Pockross will deliver at the L’Chaim Jewish Conference on Aging scheduled for Sunday, June 5th at 2:30 at Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape Street, in Denver. Based on her recent book, Mimi’s talk will draw from her experiences that she recorded after moving her 90 and 95 year old mother and father from Chicago to Denver and assuming their caregiving responsibilities. Now in its third year, the L’Chaim Jewish Conference is intended to facilitate discussion and provide resources to older adults, their loved ones and caregivers from a Jewish perspective. For full information about the conference, you can email Mimi at firstname.lastname@example.org or go to www.lchaimdenver.org.
