Diann Logan to Participate in Mother’s Day Book Event

The Navel DiariesThis Mother’s Day, forget the flowers. Cancel the candy. Celebrate with a gift that honors Mom’s intelligence and creativity: BOOKS! Four Denver women authors discuss the variety of writing produced from the female experience. Free and open to the public on Thursday, May 5th, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at City Stacks Books & Coffee, 1743 Wazee St in Denver. The lively conversation will address perspectives women bring to writing, similarities and differences between male and female authors, particular themes addressed by women in their work, and the feminine trek through publishing. Authors include:
Corinne Brown, author of a new historical novel, Hidden Star, set in the Southwest.
Hilary DePolo, whose poems in Prairie Crossroad explore the diverse people of Morgan County.
Humor essayist and CAL Member Diann Logan with The Navel Diaries, a journey into maturity.
Novelist Bonnie McCune, whose most recent women’s fiction is Falling Like a Rock.
