a one-day Mount Vernon writing seminar with Page Lambert, includes continental breakfast and catered luncheon on Saturday, August 13, 2016, 8:30–4:00.

Your story only gets one chance to make a first impression. Rarely will an agent or editor turn to the opening pages of a project if the query isn’t riveting. And if the query grabs them but the first few pages disappoint, don’t expect them to plough through an entire chapter. During this seminar, we’ll “try out” our first impressions with each other, sharing opening pages, drafting pitch paragraphs, and revising one-page summaries. Come prepared to “workshop.”

Early-bird registration ends Tuesday, August 2! Get complete details here: http://www.pagelambert.com/workshops_speaking.html
