Jared Smith will have his 12th volume of poetry released this fall by Colorado publisher Liquid Light Press. It is a 43 page chapbook titled This Town: Poems of Correspondence, and was co-authored with poet Kyle Laws from Pueblo. 2016 has been a busy year for readings for Smith. Since January he has been featured in Aspen in a Telluride Institute program, University of Colorado-Pueblo with Colorado Poet Laureate Joseph Hutchison and Kyle Laws, and KRFC radio in Fort Collins, among others. In the remainder of this year, he will be featured with William Tremblay at a reading in Evergreen, participating in an event at The Inkwell, and then leaving for a reading in North Carolina, and an appearance at The Poetry Rendezvous in Kansas City. Smith remains active as a Director of The New York Quarterly Foundation and as Poetry Editor of Turtle Island Quarterly.
