Praise for Soldier Sister, Fly Home

Posted on January 26, 2017 | in Member News | by

Soldier Sister, Fly Home was selected by Tuba City Library, Navajo Nation, to be their Community One-Book-All-Read (their very first community all-read!).  Community members can stop by the library and pick up a complimentary copy and sign up for writing workshops. Teachers can request classroom author visits. Arizona State Library has chosen Soldier Sister, Fly Home to create an audio recording for their statewide program that brings audio books to patrons with disabilities.

Western Slope writers interested in learning or sharing about writing for children are invited to attend an information meeting about the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators  (SCBWI) with time for manuscript critiques and goal-setting discussion.  This event will be held at Glenwood Springs Library, Saturday, February 18th, 1 pm. Contact Nancy Bo Flood wflood@hotmail.com for additional information.
