Western Writers of America awarded Nancy Oswald’s juvenile historical fiction novel a Spur Award at the 2017 Conference in Kansas City, Missouri. Doris Baker, Filter Press LLC, attended, also, to receive her award as publisher of the winning book. Trouble Returns is set in 1896 Cripple Creek and highlights the escapades of an eleven year old girl, Ruby, and her donkey, Maude.
