Bagel In Love, by Natasha Wing

Natasha Wing’s new children’s book, Bagel In Love, is releasing January 2, 2018 (Sterling Children’s Books). It is about a bagel who is looking for a dance partner and is filled with bakery puns. Natasha had a dress made based on the book’s characters that was designed by CSU fashion student, Cameron Utter, and embroidered by an alumni, Roxanne Storlie. She wears the dress to book events.

Penny Rafferty at City Market

Penny Rafferty reports that reaching out in less obviously locations as super markets and gift shops has worked well for selling her local history books. At a recent Holiday Author Event at City Market Granby, the local City Market manager put her up front so she could easily greet shoppers and potential buyers of Around Granby published by Arcadia Publishing or her new children’s history book, A to Z: Your Grand County History Alphabet.

Welcome New CAL Member Joan Carol Lieberman

Joan Carol Lieberman has had a forty year career working as a management consultant for doctors, lawyers and women in leadership positions. As a full-blooded Gentile who grew up in Utah, she completed her two-part autobiography, Optimal Distance, A Divided Life, in June 2017 on her 75th birthday. She continues to consult and write speeches for key clients. A resident of Boulder since 1968, she is married and the mother of two grown children.

Welcome CAL Member Fleur Bradley

Fleur (F.T.) Bradley is the author of the Double Vision trilogy (HarperCollins Children’s), a funny middle-grade spy adventure series School Library Journal calls, “a must-read for mystery fans, including reluctant readers.” She is the author of numerous short crime stories, and manages a freelance writing career along with a YA thriller and middle-grade novel project. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and two daughters, and entirely too many cats.

Tuesday, December 19, is CAL day at Barnes and Noble in Glendale (960 S Colorado Blvd Glendale, CO 80246). A portion of all books sold on 12/19 will be donated to Colorado Author’s League in support of the Colorado Book Festival.
