Book Launch with Courtney Miller

Multi-award-winning author, Courtney Miller, launched his new book and series, Ludwig’s Fugue, A Whiter Feather Mystery, in his home town of Westcliffe, Colorado. The event, sponsored by the Custer County Library, was “a barrel of laughs,” “Very Entertaining,” “It was fun,” according to some of the attendees. The book is set in the fictional rural mountain town of Rockcliffe Colorado in the beautiful Wet Mountain Valley. In the book, David Ludwig suffers a head injury in football practice. His family is brutally murdered and he is the prime suspect. But, in a “fugue” (from psychology: a period during which a person suffers from loss of memory) even David doesn’t know whether he did it. White Feather, an old Cherokee wizard matches wits with the local sheriff’s office to solve the crime.

By popular request, Courtney has posted the presentation portion of the event on his website: www.CourtneyMillerAuthor.com

Book Reading with Bronwyn Long Borne

Poetry of Days, the second book in Bronwyn Long’s science fiction/fantasy Shalemar Trilogy, will have a book reading and signing at the Tattered Cover at Aspen Grove on Monday, June 12, at 7:00 pm. The Shalemar Trilogy, written under Bronwyn’s pen name, Rohret Buchner, tells the tale of a modern college student who joins her father on a research trip to Antarctica, falls through the ice, and enters the hidden world of Shalemar, where her coming has been foretold for 500 years. How will Shara Kennington’s 21st century values fit with Shalemar’s traditional culture? Set in a land where the sun rises and sets only once each year, Poetry of Days is a hopeful tale of love and redemption, and the continuing story of the transformation of a reluctant heroine into a warrior queen.
