Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Business Woman of the Year Award in the Mile High Leadership category- (August 2016); Appointed by Secretary Commerce John Bryson and President Obama to serve on the Secretary’s National Advisory Board for Tourism, to create the first federal strategy on increasing jobs through Tourism (2013-15); Governor’s Commission for the Sand Creek Massacre Remembrance (2015) ;Governor’s Commission to study American Indian symbols and mascots in high schools (2016). Ms. Kinney’s cookbook Shinin Times at The Fort received the finalist award in 2011 by the Colorado Council for Humanities Book Awards.

Bio:
Holly Arnold Kinney-Colorado author of a young reader’s book: Sissy Bear at The Fort, 2016. A charming and true story of the author’s pet bear who lived at the famous Colorado landmark,The Fort restaurant from 1963-1982. Original photographs and beautifully illustrated by Christine Wald. Hardback.

Ms. Kinney also wrote the award-winning cookbook: Shinin’ Times at The Fort  (2010),and re-published her father Sam Arnold’s 10 week PBS TV show on DVD’s  and companion cookbook Frying Pans West (2011). All three books are published by Fur Trade Press, LLC., Ms. Kinney’s publishing company.  Ms Kinney is also the proprietress of the Fort restaurant and Executive Director of the Tesoro Cultural Center.
