I am an award-winning cookbook author and have self-published 2 cookbooks. “If you can read you can cook” is what my mother taught us and I have always gone by that motto. Michele Morris is the chef and owner of Cooking with Michele®, where she offers private cooking lessons for both adults and children, leads cooking dinner parties, teaches food and wine pairing, leads food and wine tours in Italy, and publishes both a food and travel blog. Michele dedicates much of her time to several philanthropic endeavors in the food community. She teaches healthy cooking and nutrition to families on limited budgets for Cooking Matters Colorado, she helps prepare nutritious meals to improve quality of life for clients of Project Angel Heart who are coping with life-threatening illness, she teaches basic kitchen skills to disadvantaged women at Work Options for Women to help them gain employment in a commercial kitchen, she teaches cooking classes to school children across the front range as part of Slow Food Denver’s Seed to Table Alliance for school gardens, and she is a participating home gardener for Produce for Pantries.
