Bio:
Barbra has been a professional writer for 36 years, and has written hundreds of health and travel articles for national, regional, and local publications. She is also an award-winning poet. Her writing has appeared in AAA’s “Encompass,” “First for Women,” “Delicious!,” “Better Nutrition,” “Energy Times,” “Kosmos,” and numerous other magazines and newspapers. Her first book, “Calmer Waters: The Caregiver’s Journey through Alzheimer’s and Dementia” is the result of a decade of caring for her husband. Barbra lives in Boulder, Colorado where she and her late husband raised their children. In her spare time Barbra enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, and dancing salsa, tango, swing, and Israeli folkdance.

Bio:

Carol Grever has been a successful author, businesswoman, English professor and community advocate. Her newest book is a CAL award-winning memoir, Turnings: Reflections on a Conscious Life. She previously authored three other nonfiction books, My Husband Is Gay, When Your Spouse Comes Out, and Memory Quilt, and also wrote and produced a documentary, One Gay, One Straight: Complicated Marriages. Glimpses, her book-length poetry collection, won the Colorado Authors’ League 2013 Prize. As a recognized spokesperson on straight spouse issues, she has appeared on major network TV shows, including Anderson Cooper 360, The Early Show, Good Morning America, and The Oprah Winfrey Show. She has interviewed with media on three continents.
