CAL CO-OP BOOTH


Christmas Gift Show


CAL will participate in the Denver Christmas Show held at the Western National Complex Nov. 22-24. Individual participation is a member benefit.


Registration fee is $99.



In addition to the non-refundable registration fee, CAL takes a 10% commission on all sales after you've earned your booth fee back to cover credit card fees, point of service fees, and unforeseen expenses associated with the booth.


The fee applies to ONE author only (or two in the case of two authors writing one book). There are NO REFUNDS on the registration fee.


Please consider carefully whether you will be able to fully participate before signing up.

How the book booth works:


The CAL booth is set up like a book store, with the authors' books displayed on racks for the entire 3 days of the show.


A certain number of authors are allowed in the booth in approximately 2 hour time slots to promote and sign their own books, as well as help customers find what they are looking for in our "store." Your general knowledge of the other authors' works is expected and will help with the overall success of the booth.


One cashier handles the money, and authors are paid by check sometime in December.

Conditions of Participation

 

The set-up day for the Denver Christmas Show will be the Wednesday or Thursday before the show and tear-down will be the Sunday of the show at 6 p.m.


Teams of people are needed for each, and you will be contacted to see how you might be able to help.


Books will need to be dropped off for each show on their particular set-up day at a time to be announced and picked up after the show ends on the last day. If you are unable to drop off or pick up during these times, it is your responsibility to find someone to do it for you. Your books must be on the racks from the start of the show through the end.

CAL will not be held responsible for books left behind (and possibly lost) at the end of the show.

With the kind of frenzy that this kind of show generates, a certain amount of theft or loss is inevitable. If a book or two goes missing, we will commiserate with you, but CAL can't be held responsible. You will be paid based on the actual sales, not the inventory.



You are responsible to read ALL emails sent to you concerning the show in a timely manner, and no adjustments to the book signing schedule will be allowed after Oct. 15.



PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION. PLEASE CONSIDER CAREFULLY WHETHER YOU ARE ABLE TO COMMIT TO BEING A PART OF THIS BOOTH. IT MAY INVOLVE TRAVEL, TRAFFIC, PARKING WOES, AND WALKING.
