My lifelong passions, in addition to classical and world literature, have been philosophy, religion, history, human psychology and a relentless search to understand the truth behind our illusions.

My novel, The Perfect Stranger, touches on numerous topics including but not limited to: The Limits of Human Reason The Fallacy of Good & Evil How Humans Twist Language to Justify Anything Either/Or Thinking The Stories/Myths We Tell Ourselves The Pitfalls of Human Institutions.....etc. I can also discuss: Comparative Religions The Wisdom in Greek Mythology The Rise & Fall of Empires The Nature of God The Limits of Western Thinking....etc.

I can, of course, talk and conduct workshops on poetry, writing, performing and wooing an audience -- these in addition to performing my own poetry and prose.

I am most interested in discussing the varying topics I explore in The Perfect Stranger.

By combining humorous passages from the novel, perhaps a poem or two from A Black Odyssey, I anticipate devising a lively presentation, both insightful and entertaining.

Speaking Experience

For over 30 years, SETH has performed both solo and in numerous artistic ensembles including Open Rangers (1989-2000), Jafrika (1993-2004), and Art Compost & the Word Mechanics (2000-present).

With Jafrika, he performed in school assemblies and conducted students in putting on their own performances.

As a lecturer, he had shared techniques in writing, reciting before audiences and how to win over audiences.

He has also instructed others on how to produce and stage artistic events.

Biography

Gregory S. Harris aka SETH is an author, performance poet, musician and producer.

One of Colorado's best known performance poets, SETH has collaborated with countless poets, musicians, actors, dancers and other performance artists, making poetry more entertaining and thus more accessible to general audiences.

SETH has served as Writer-in-Residence for numerous organizations such as Colorado Humanities (Center for the Book) and Think 360 Arts (formerly Young Audiences).

He has conducted workshops and talks in poetry, creative writing, storytelling, acting and performing for all ages throughout Colorado.

He currently performs weekly with his musical-poetic ensemble Art Compost & the Word Mechanics.
